The scenario is pessimistic. Some bad decisions and opportunities not taken advantage of. I was a naval officer at one time - not one privy to much of this kind of info, but some. The pessimism seems justified. The facts and assertions are very credible to me. I would recommend this book to anyone mature enough to truly contemplate our mortality as individuals and as a species.
