An absolutely brrrrrilliant show! And yes, we are Americans who watched it and loved it. We were a bunch of public high school students from the 80s who couldn't believe there was such a show of non-sequiturs and vile absurdities - accidentally encountered while waiting for 120 Minutes on MTV. "Tell that to Roger Bannister!" And the bands! Rip Rig and Panic?! Amazulu? Motorhead?! Madness AND the Damned?! The Damned wrote that song especially for their Young Ones performance. This was a comedic show totally ahead of its time and an absolute influence on me.
