Saw it today for the first time, and... it is one of my favourite films ever! Ties all loose ends and has incredible pacing and build-up. The several stories taking place all have significance to a bigger purpose of the story.

Absolute slow-paced shock factor. The ending feels earned.

The greatest cinematic achievement in the history of sword-and-sandal films, of which I am a BIG fan of. Irreplaceable casting, phenomenal dialogue full of REAL LIFE Spartan quotes, including the now infamous “THIS IS SPARTA!!!”. The visuals r way ahead of its time, and one could argue the visuals in 300 were as revolutionary as the visuals of the first Matrix. Every shot is a fantastic painting of the classical time period battles. I think the biggest mistake people make going into this movie is not expecting it to be a total “guy” movie, full of what is considered to be toxically masculine, but actually is not. It is just epic and hardcore in the most pleasant way possible. :)
