Now, is the third book in the "Once" book series, written by Morris Gleitzman. I have previously read the first 2 books previously to this and was excited to dive back into the lives of the fictional character Gleitzman wonderfully created. However, I was quite surprised to find out that "Now" happens to be set decades later then the first 2 books, all the way up to the modern day, though the first 2 were set during the second World War, and it followed the story of Felix's granddaughter, Felix being the protagonist of the first 2 books. I can not lie, I was disappointed when I discovered this, as I read through the pages of the first chapter, but as I read more and got deeper into the book, I really started to get into it. This book, though not being as emotionally intense as the first 2, does still carries the weight of the first 2, as you see a far future version of Felix, still being effected by the events of the first 2 books. Morris Gleitzman did a wonders writing this book, somehow continuing the story of Felix when it is set over half a century later, something that has rarely been done. Though I didn't enjoy this book as much as I did the first, this book is still excellent and I would extremely recommend this books to fans of the first 2 books or fans of Morris Gleitzman's writing in general.
