“I have travelled through time and space for you”- Let me start with that. As I progressively watched until the final episodes, these words come to my mind. If you love “The Time Traveller’s Wife, The Lake House”- this is for you. I love how the element of time travelling isn’t too overpoweringly done. It is seasoned perfectly as we dived into Imsol, Sun Jae, Tae Song, Im Geum, Hyun-Joo and all the rest of the characters, each and everytime, as they slowly grow into their mature self in the spand of 15years.
It’s just not a story of coming of age, or suspense, or regrets but.. it is also a spin of what we always asked ourselves, “If I could turn back time, what I could I do differently”. I love the comedy in the drama as they unfold naturally to bring laughters and tears in your eyes.
And in any time travel rules, you cannot change certain facts because what’s destined to be in the future must take its place.
On the other side of the coin, this Kdrama is a success because of the great actors and great writer. Every scene compliments each other with hauntingly beautiful OST. I really love Epi 15 to be honest!
Hence, if you a hopeless romantic like me, this Kdrama perfectly sums up “No matter how impossible, how unattainable, how unimaginable something is.. what belongs to you, comes to you because it is meant for you”
