I was fully enraptured by this cleverly spun world of the humble honey bee. The knowledge put into this book held my intrigue and made me beelieve (ha) that this is the true nature of bees. These insects actually live this life… they actually FEEL this way. The detail was comprehensible and beautiful. Such an elegantly told story with plenty of action, a pattern of highs and lows, and an admirable heroine spirit. Although there are violent and crude scenes, they are forgivable in how the hive life continues and heals after each blow. If you want to be transported and taken into pages dripping with suspense, artful imagery, and an ultraviolet lens, this is the book for you.
