Last year I so enjoyed the stories on New Amsterdam - concern for patients, honesty, and integrity in dealing with others. It was so refreshing. This year's opening show showed 6" or more of intensive sex between the two main characters. You know we all know what's sex is like, and do you really need to spend 6" minutes showing sexual activity. The theme of the opening show was about sex, sex, sex. I know sex sells, and I can tell you I'm done with this show. We need honesty, integrity, kindness, mercy and compassion, not sex and crime. Sincerely, Patricia J. (Trish) Miller

I thoroughly enjoy the series - watching the characters interact and filling the stories with everyday life and so real. I wanted to make a comment about last night's episode - the one where the main characters lose their baby, and Shawn comforts his girlfriend. It was such a touching, sad moment and so real, and then the music overlay with a woman singing something about it will get better, you can have another child was just so inappropriate for what was happening, and everything we are now learning about grief. You don't tell people or intimate it either with music, that things will get better you can have a child while you are in the middle of overwhelming grief. It was just totally inappropriate to play that kind of music, just sad music with no words would have been better. Thanks for listening. Patricia Miller
