I’ll preface this review in saying there’s a lot to like about The Northman, but with some pretty glaring weaknesses. Its biggest strength being its strong cast that mostly all delivers great performances. It also has some beautiful cinematography and really gives a look into Viking culture not many other media projects have done. Unfortunately, some scenes did feel a little forced or unnecessary. Some moments don’t really end up making sense or mattering, and the ending was very abrupt and left me feeling dissatisfied personally. Worth a free watch if you have the time, but nothing truly groundbreaking or gripping

All in all one of the best horror sequels of my lifetime. If you’re a fan of the craft it’s absolutely worth the watch. Cinematography, sound scoring, acting performances, all spot on. A nice blend of jump scares and psychological fear. Very impressed and pleased. Don’t pass this one up!

Boring, boring, BORING A great example of a good idea with terrible execution. Pros: -A couple of unique and interesting kills -Some nice cinematography here and there Cons: -incredibly slow pacing -extremely little dialogue -okay at best acting -dull plot -off screen deaths -again, just plain boring In a violent nature tries to give us a horror movie more so from the perspective of a supernatural serial killer akin to Jason or Micheal Myers. The question somebody seemed to forget to ask: “is this entertaining to watch?” Unfortunately, not really. Any good movie, ESPECIALLY horror movies derive from well thought out characters bringing a plot to life. Characters that are dynamic and interesting and give us something to root for or against. There’s nothing given to the viewer to become invested into the movie at all. There’s extremely scarce dialogue just to try and bring things into a cohesive plot, but it’s not enough to really care if any of the characters live or die. There’s really just no real reason to watch this movie

A movie held back by its lower budget, but all in all a fair watch. The cast does a good job in their respective roles. The dialogue is decent enough. The plot is unique and more interesting than your typical horror tropes. Not terribly scary but plenty of gore. Like I mentioned the movie suffers from its lower budget. The special effects are mediocre at best. Its writing isn’t terrible, but nothing especially well written. The story itself is good but execution leaves a little to be desired. I will say the ending was odd, and I didn’t particularly find it satisfying, but it didn't completely take away from the movie. Worth a free watch but that’s about all.

A solid 9/10 Villains is an entertaining and fairly wild ride. One of few movies this year that keeps you guessing until the end. The cast all did a phenomenal job with their roles. The pacing is well done and entertaining throughout. I really don’t have anything bad to say about the movie. Give it a watch!

Overall a solid film especially for a shudder production. It had some well placed jump scares and a fairly unique plot. Its story builds up tension throughout until the ending where it does fizzle a bit. It suffers most from its predictable ending, imo. Still happy I picked it out, and if you’re a horror fan you likely will too

All in all an okay watch. Pros: Strong performance from lead actor, with some decent supporting actors. A solid story to follow. A couple of fairly chilling moments. Cons: The run time is longer than needed. There’s things that would have been better left a deleted scene. Really not many scares in its entirety, and it takes a long time in between exciting moments to really keep you held. Still a little underserving of the 2.9 it currently sits at when garbage heaps like Tarot are sitting at a higher rating.

Honestly one of the worst horror movies I’ve seen in the year. The pacing, plot, character progression, dialogue, nearly everything about the movie is just bad. A couple of okay performances and okay special effects are about the only saving grace this movie has. It could have been decent is probably the most frustrating part, but nobody seemed to care enough about the project

Fun movie all around with great performances. Not too serious, not too silly. I’d recommend to anyone, even if you aren’t an avid horror fan.

Well casted and acted. Nothing particularly innovating in the horror department, and a few of the episodes have an abrupt or unsatisfying ending, but all in all entertaining, especially for a Hulu production
