Dexter’s new town should be called ‘Clichéville”, as all we see are rural citizens that are all outwardly chipper and all equally salt of the earth. (Seriously, line dancing?!) SPOILERS AHEAD. The cop-as-girlfriend reveal was super obvious, as was the slow obvious build up to the deer being shot. All the townspeople are two-dimensional, and supplanting Harry with Deb, the most uncentered, lost person in life, as his corrective compass, was clearly for those that want to see them onscreen again. Finally, a son at the age he was went he last saw Dexter, would clearly recognize his dad that looks exactly the same 10 years later.
