I have watched this series 4 times. I could watch the scene in Series 3 Ep. 5 (Michael’s speech to Cathy in the rain) a thousand times. Each time I watch Mum I see moments I missed. Spoken, unspoken, Mum is a reflection of the human condition. Love in all its forms, often bittersweet, often irritating, yet endearing. The thread that runs through this series is all the characters coping with great loss, and anyone with this experience (i lost my son) might be touched as I continue to be.
