Despite some negative reviews, I watched It Ends With Us today with my mum and aunties, and I have to say, I loved it. While I understand why some might be put off by the 'Mills & Boon' vibe at the beginning, I actually think it enhances the impact of the underlying story. The contrast between the light, romantic tone and the deeper themes made the film even more powerful. The cinematography was stunning, capturing the beauty of the city perfectly. The characters were compelling, and the acting was exceptional, reflecting the strength of the best-selling book it’s based on. The film did justice to its source material, delivering great characters and gripping drama from beginning to end.One of the things I enjoyed most was the satisfaction of watching a drama that actually has a clear beginning, middle, and end—something that feels increasingly rare in modern cinema. I also appreciated how the movie shed light on important topics. Although it might initially seem like a typical romance, It Ends With Us evolves into a brave and powerful film that deserves more recognition. It’s one that stays with you long after the credits roll.
