This game is a perfect somehow slightly rushed version of breath of the wild. The game mechanics feel as good as the previous game with the added zonia building mechanics which are amazing. I do not feel the main story or the side quest design is anywhere as compelling as the last game. I feel lots of things are very cookie cutter including the sage dungeons. The "Dungeon" design in this game so far for me feels like solve the tiny puzzle then use the sages ability to activate 4-5 terminals. Then go to the boss and use the ability to fight. I would not have a problem with this if there were as many abilities as there are items in previous titles. There are only 4 actual sage abilities; the fith ability gives you a mech. The mech is more an overworld destroy everything vehicle rather than an ability. I remember when "Dungeons" were something more than a backdrop. All the cut scenes and voice lines feel very anime. Which wouldn't be bad if it didn't feel like a the dialog was ripped from narruto. I hated hearing the same things over and over again from the sages while the plot lines were basically. Oh no Ganon made everything bad help us one and only warrior. Every line was "we can do it" and "the power of teamwork will save us". There are no consequences there is no character development it's just another oh link saves zelda and kills ganon. There are improvements to the game but when majors mask set trends for future games with its storyline and unique mechanics; And was only made in 1 YEAR. I expected more from the direct sequel to breath of the wild. This game feels like Breath of the wild but everything you did in the Last game was useless unless you beat Gannon with three hearts. The only thing that transfered were the horses and that mechanics broke in my game so I had to start over. All my Armour is gone and this also would not be an issue. IF my armor wasn't scattered across the sky and depths when someone else was "Repairing" it then it got "lost" when hyrule castle rose. This game is more infuriating trying to get bak in because it brushes aside your progress from the Last game and doesn't regognize it. This game took siz years; the amount of time this game took to make in my case does not justify a 70$ game. So much stuff feels to samie from the last game. I don't actually feel like I'm playing a sequel most the time and it shows that even nintendo can come to be greedy even if they are still far better than other studios.
