The fact that it was wrote on 1800-ish and at that time I think the rich and poor gap really that far to the point where people didn't want to help others in real life conditions. This book told the poor condition at that time. I remember when I was a little kid, I watch the animation. I thought this girl has such an amazing power with only a match. Turned out that it is a story about poor girl try to believe in little hope to live her life. A tragic story. Although it can be an inspiration if someone retell it in different way.
