Despite the controversy surrounding the reviews, I genuinely enjoyed this film. I think it is an excellent installment, and although some things make no sense, remember that the prequels also suffered the same controversy when they were first introduced, yet now, the Star Wars fan base majority loves them. The Rise of Skywalker had a lot of emotion and character development that was not there in episode 8, and by introducing this installment, J.J. Abrams has brought this trilogy back from the dark days of the Last Jedi. There is certainly some room for improvement, but maybe Disney will patch some mistakes like Lucas did in his original films. Well done, and nice redemption.
