I am a diehard conservative and have always been a huge fan of President Reagan. I think he was our best president ever and he won his first election on the same day I completed boot camp. And I love Trump. But....and I hate to do this but the movie was very slow moving, dull, and captured none of Reagan's charm. One of Reagan's best jokes was how he wouldn't hold his opponents youth and inexperience against him and when Reagan told it he brought the house down. It was definitely not the case with Dennis Quaid. One aspect that the movie did really well was his relationship with his wife Nancy. Talk about a woman who will stand by her man. The actress playing her was perhaps the best and most believable in the movie. All in all, I give it a 2.0 on a scale of 1 to 5.
