Extremely confused movie. Not confusing as in hard to understand. Confused like a teenager going through phases, emulating heroes and villains without having the emotional depth to understand the heroics or villainy. Not a romance, not an action movie, not a biopic. The relationship between Napoleon and Josephine is central to many points but their portrayal is flat when it's not miserable. Some action scenes are intense which is a plus. But definitely not something I'll rewatch or recommend. More likely to recommend my friends watch the battles and ignore the other two hours.
