I like the casting and the production values but having read and reread all the books (starting in 1994 when I was 15) before every new book came out to keep all the story lines, character arcs and foreshadowing fresh in my mind (because of the long periods between some of the books) many of the changes seem to diverge too far from Robert Jordan’s writing for my tastes. I’ll still probably watch the whole series but the reworking of the prologue and winter night scenes and the way they altered the scenes of the male characters to emphasize the female characters more(I know they did this to bring in a broader audience) do make it seem as if Amazon is going to change the story to center more the female protagonists than the male protagonists than in the books. Jordan spent a lot of time fleshing out all the characters. I haven’t read the books that Brandon Sanderson Wrote yet I’m about to start the eye of the world again today and finally finish reading the series since I don’t know exactly how it ends though I’ve encountered many spoilers since the amazon series was announced and the fandom started getting hyped up for the show.
