Excellent story. Brilliant cast and acting. Very disturbing truths exposed about the past (and present, to be honest), but incredibly well-depicted. The 2 protagonists should be nominated for Emmys for their convincing portrayals of their characters. My only criticism is the excessive details in the sex scenes. Whilst I believe it’s essential to the story to convey all the elements of Hawk and Skippy’s relationship, including the aggressive sex, I believe too much detail is off-putting. Likewise, the last scene of the opening credits (a closeup of a man’s crotch) is absolutely unnecessary, and quite frankly, offensive. If there was a closeup of a woman’s vaginal area in an opening credits scene, that would not go down well. Nevertheless, I’m still very much captivated by the series and very much look forward to following episodes.
