Amazon's answer to Netflix Sacred Games!!! I'm writing my thoughts on the show at 5.15am right after binge watching the entire season in one day/night. Pataal Lok is not an easy watch not by a long shot but if you stick with It I promise you you'll probably have seen one of the finest if not the finest Indian series ever made. It checks all the boxes that make a series truly special which are : Excellent performances Riveting storyline Emotional Backstories Suspense, drama & action Scandal, scheming & manipulation Corruption, politics & Power This series also beautifully showcases the current major relevant social issues like casteism,bureaucracy,media misinformation. They have managed to show us the various relationships of student - mentor, father's love & hatred for his child, well sketched husband - wife relationship. The barbaric nature of man. Jaideep ahlawat has played the role of a lifetime. Honestly speaking this series is best watched if you have no idea what you're getting yourself into in terms of the story. Just watch it.
