The addons feel like they were an excuse to remarket an old game. Who would really think the majority of players would want a fishing add on? I mean how many people actually read every book they pick up? The saints and seducers add on I found was strange.
The weird rainbow colored spider that follows you around as a companion making that annoying sound the whole time grated on my nerves within 5 minutes.
Survival was interesting for the hardcore players and I admit I actually did enjoy the challenge of it, however there are better mods to create a survival experience that is more immersive than just slowly dying when it gets cold.
Personally I think the forced addons were a bulls**t move on Bethesda's part. I'm not qualified to even guess what their true intentions were by dumping in on us and causing an unprecedented amount of chaos in the modding community as for example the complete rework of pivotal mods that redefined modding as some modders had long retired.
I'm in agreement with the people asking the question " why was it forced on us and not treated like Skyrim Special Edition"?
