I only made it to episode 4. The acting was subpar and the storyline was contrived and forced. The excessively crude language and the dialogue and scenes of perverted sexual debauchery were a total turn off. I actually found some of the dialogue and scenes to be unnecessarily disgusting, and I am not referring to gore here. As an English major in college and a high school English teacher, I know very well that in some of his stories Poe was making a commentary on the price tag of sin but this went too far. Very disappointing. Not worth the time and not worth one star. Not up to Netflix's usual standards of quality.
