We were forced to read this for book club In English class, and every page was misery to get through. The writing style is obnoxious, overly filled with teen slang, and the murder mystery is about as thrilling as a kiddie coaster. If I’m forced to write an essay about this shoddy book’s “theme” or “message” as if it isn’t just another low brow cash grab for booktok to eat up, I am going to strangle myself with barbed wire.
