This movie, I feel was for the younger audience who only knew of Marley through his most popular songs.
For us, die-hard fans who followed him through the 70s and 80s, (Marley or Dennis Brown? was a frequent question back then). I felt it was more of a love story written by Rita and Ziggy, and after the credits, I rested my case. The 'romance' didn't always ring true. I have read many books by people who were in or travelled with the Marley Camp, including Rita's. She omitted the fact that Cedilla and Cyndy played a big part in his life before and particularly whilst he was unwell. Not ideal as his wife who preferred not to remember, I know, but omitting the true version of events? I also agree that the live concerts were a massive success that could have been referred to as well.
Yes, movie time is limited, but some key points were missed. I would still recommend you see it because a film, after all, his music lives on, Worldwide.
