I am so glad Ryan Gosling was in this movie because if he wasn't, the movie would've fallen flat on its face. Unfortunately I feel Margot Robbie and her talents get very lost in this movie and she feels almost like an extra.
The movie has a solid story line and some good jokes, but unfortunately that only lasts for the first 15 mins of the film before the story loses its path and its purpose.
I think this movie is good for younger girls to feel empowered but I felt this movie gave its message in a VERY preachy way. It would have been way more effective and resonating to do away with the second act they decided to go with and instead of TELLING us all the issues you're trying to get across in a form of one single monologue, SHOW us everything you just listed in action throughout the movie.
wouldn't recommend this movie to anybody but I wouldn't tell you not to watch it.
