Honestly, I really did try to enjoy this, since I am a big fan of Rick and Morty. The whole 22 minute episode was more strange than anything I've ever watched. It was like a bad acid trip. The storyline feels very random and the ending is very abrupt. I understand that this isn't directly connected to the "Rick and Morty" TV show, but we already have connections with these characters and the specific style that they are animated in typically. In this Anime version, it feels like completely different characters. It seems like someone's passion project that didn't quite make the mark.
