Love Cassandra Clare and her writing. So good and love the universe she’s created. I’ve been reading since I was a teenager. That being said, I didn’t enjoy this book very much. It felt like a chore to read. It is just try hard, forced political commentary. Everything felt forced and rushed. I read these books for the escapism, not for political and social commentary. Super disappointed in this book.
