Finally a star wars show that isn't made for 5 year olds. The writing and dialogue is refreshingly engaging. It moves at a slow pace and takes its time, but it's well done. You can tell there was more thought and attention put into this compared to Obi-Wan and especially Book of Boba Fett. The budget and effects seem to be higher quality, too.
One thing I particularly enjoy is that the Imperials aren't portrayed as bumbling idiots like they have been in previous star wars shows. The threat seems real, the rebel's cause seems desperate, and Andor does a good job at showing the disparity of the massive Imperial juggernaut compared to a rag-tag group of underpowered freedom fighters.
In other words, unlike Book of Boba and Obi-Wan... it's not a cartoon.
I'm grateful to experience some writing quality and effort put into the star wars universe again.
