Jim Blake

I read this book in the eighth grade for a book report, 67 years ago. At 81, I am re reading it. It is just as enjoyable now. It lead me to spend eight years in the area where the story takes place, falling in love with that part of the country. A lifetime of studying and enjoying history has enabled me the enjoy the story more the second time around. I intend to prolong my life by re reading all of Robert’s other works.
