Ebony Taste

If I could give this movie a zero, I would. I grew up learning about black history and I have always been exposed to diversity. This movie was so belittling and stereotypical. I was embarrassed. Immediately when the movie started, I was turned off because they kept using the "N" word, this was nonstop. Unless you don't have a vocabulary to use, that is the only type of person who uses that word that often and these characters were all college graduates. They basically made it seem like we are all drug users, alcoholics, cheaters, thugs with a gun, the "angry black woman", racist to those who are biracial, need a caucasian as a companion to be positive in society etc. I feel like it was a mockery of our history. I caught all the subliminals. The way the woman had to swim in the water to safety is exactly how the slaves had to risk their lives to safety. Even the fire department coming to rescue them, but hosing them down instead. Just like they used to do our ancestors. I could keep going, but see it for yourself.
