It's a good drama with amazing costumes, cinematography, and a great cast. CHO JUNG SEOK as the Male Lead is the best thing about this drama. His acting is top-notch, and you won't regret watching this drama just because of him. Also, the supporting actors are also so good in this drama with great acting. They keep us wondering about what they're planning each and every time.
The thing is, although the show has some writing issues, I felt all those issues only with the female lead's character. Maybe I felt like this because of her way of expressing feelings. All she does is deliver dialogues, gaze at everything, and look teary-eyed.
She pushes other characters to take revenge against the best man in this show (the KING) for all the problems that were started just because of her overconfidence that grows on her at times. She never listens to others and jumps into the pit with defiance, and in the end, blames the poor king without taking responsibility for her actions.
At first, the show portrayed her as someone who knows and understands the king and the reasons for his actions very well, even though they had never met each other. But ever since she met him, she doesn't try to understand his feelings and actions; and to be honest, even the villains have a better idea of his actions than she does.
