Although I enjoyed this book, it’s not for the feint hearted. It is definitely interesting and shines a light on the personal plight of those involved in the greatest battle in human history. But I have to say, this book is not always the easiest of reads, and can certainly not be described as a page turner. For the history buffs out there, enjoy. For all the rest, beware.
