I remember this show when it first aired on CBS in 1989. I watched a few episodes in 1989, but I watched other programs at that time instead. When the show was cancelled and reaired on the old USA Network back in the 90's I watched Major Dad in reruns. The reason why I call it the old USA Network is because it was a independent network that did not follow what every other network was doing. It is a shame that Barry Dillard altered the network when he owned it and altered the programming before selling it to NBC. NBC should have just bought out a old warehouse or building in California and created a sister network to NBC rather than buy USA Network. I loved the old programming because I rather enjoyed watching low grade B movies, horror movies, or anything else that the old USA Network showed. This included on Friday and Saturday nights USA UP ALL NIGHT. On Friday nights it was hosted by Rhonda Shear and on Saturday nights the late great Gilbert Gottfried. I miss those days. Now I am watching it on ROKU on a channel that they are streaming this great show.
