Massive Coldplay fan all my life and this is a solid 8/10 from me. I understand the criticism from others, as this once rock-band seen as rivals of the Gallaghers early on have definitely deviated from their debut album ‘Parachutes’, but Coldplay and Chris have always been bigger than that one genre. Their albums since ‘Everyday Life’ have been works of art, meant to be listened to all the way through with a few standout feel-good bangers in between, and this Album definitely has those. I felt disappointed after MotS, felt we were robbed of a few tracks with ‘Colouratura’ being 7mins+ long, but this has made up for it massively. Particularly enjoyed ‘iAAM’ which is easily the pick of the bunch, the pre-released singles (feelslike…, We Pray) compliment the album nicely and the remaining songs don’t half make you smile. Not what they used to be, but I still love them and ‘Moon Music’ is definitely worth a listen!
