Threw this book in the trash after just reading the introduction. The author claims that happiness is overrated and that we should basically stop trying to find ways of being happy and accept sadness. I agree sadness is a part of life, but what about clinically depressed people? Well, he says clinically depressed people should be treated for their condition because they are "lost souls...who require medication to keep from killing themselves or harming their friends and families".
Ok, so I am a lost soul who is a threat to my friends and family because I have clinical depression?
Get off your high horse.
