Ive been playing games for 30-something years. At one point The Legend of Zelda was my favorite, then Fable was my favorite, then God of War became by favorite. All great series/games. Then Demon's Souls happened. Quickly I learned the dark pleasure from an unforgiving RPG/dungeon crawler. So once Dark Souls and its follow-ups dropped, I knew this was my new favorite genre.... Then came Elden Ring.
This game was big... and open world, and big, and playable is so many different ways... and still so big (yes that's the thrid big). So big that at one point I though I beat the game and I said to myself, "Wow, this was great. Im sad it over but I had a great time!"... then lo' and behold, there was MORE game! And after realizing how much was packed into this title, it could do nothing else but become my favorite game by a wide margin. I will always praise it.
So when the DLC was announced, it was happy. I thought, "sweet, I can probably see where one of the bosses went in the lore before he became king" and that I'd get 6 or 7 more boss. But no, no... this was no ordinary DLC, this could have been a game on its own. Again, I use the word "big". I've spent a lot of time in the DLC and still havent found a way to two parts of the map that Im positive I can get to... somehow.
I cannot give this game higher praise. It has been a pleasure to experience this game, and even die in it. (I've died a lot.)
You couldn't possibly regret buying this game nor the DLC. - 15/10
If I could get brain damage and forget everything about this game, I would, just so I can experience it again.
