This book is pretty good. I am an Arabic speaker and I bought this book so I can teach my American-born teen how to read and write Arabic. This book explains a lot of aspects of the language that, as a native speaker, I took for granted and would not have even thought of how to explain them to my daughter. It is more for an American, Adult learner as opposed to a child learner. The areas allocated for practicing the writing are limited. So, I would suggest having an additional notebook that you use for extra practice.
