Mr. Reteguiz did an amazing job taking me, the reader on a fantastic journey around the world.. all the time rooting for the main character Llewyn Glass. I read this book on my vacation and found myself counting the minutes until I could get to read the next chapter.
I also learned a lot about the world particularly the mystical, fantasies and legends parts of humanity. I can not stop talking to my friends and family about the shape of the airport in Colorado ( who knew) and the glowing red eyed blue mustang that stands watch over the human world at the airport...
This book at times will also bring you to tears with each piece of the journey. Some of the characters, places and things that are graphically and vividly described by Mr. Reteguiz made you tremble with fear, feel unbelievable sadness and .. gratefully.. Hope... each step of the way.
I also enjoyed the two short stories at the end of the book.. however I will probably never take a job as an Uber driver...lol
The second of the two stories hit home...I would have done the same thing Issac David did.. but I would have felt no remorse consider what evil lived within his victim...Interesting parallels to what is going on today...
I look forward to reading other works of literature by Mr. Reteguiz..
Weaving reality with fantasy without having hesitation is definitely an art form that needs to be nurtured by all of us.
