This book is NOT a collection of poems about different animals. It is a series of stories about various dachshunds that co-inhabited with Charles. Many are very funny since they describe the idiosyncracies of the dachshund breed. The stories are interspersed with Charles Wadsworth's own views and opinions about life, which sometimes are as eccentric as the dachshunds he lived with. It is a very entertaining read.
