I watched Matrix Resurrection last night. It was a matrixy mess. Millennial updates, horrible fight sequences, musical theatre icon villains, terrible age make up, and a really stupid plot. There is also weird pseudo political rhetoric with the blue pill red pill stuff. Blue means you are on the treadmill of life and red will free your mind. Oh yeah...and the love story with zero chemistry is painful...Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss...what the hell were you two thinking? I hope they got paid a ton of money!!! There were actual moments where you can see them thinking...this was a mistake. There was more chemistry with Neil Patrick Harris and his cat. Jonathan Groff was so bad...he was given the direction...be every cliche bad guy you have ever seen but walk slow and make sure to look like you've never fought in your entire life. NPH on the other hand didn't get the memo that he wasn't in Matrix the Campy Musical...which is what I will be directing in 2023 when I resurrect my directing career. Jada Pinkett Smith suffered from her make up design...and one note acting. I will say this, a few of the costume design choices, special effects, set designs were good, but not good enough to carry the movie. I'm not sure why Lana Wachowski would want to do this movie...it's an embarrassment to the franchise. So, yeah. I just wrote a review. What the F do I know about movies. 😜
