I fell accidently on this series only because there was nothing else to watch. I am so glad that I did! The storyline and acting is superb. It is truly the very definition of a dark comedy. The show stirs so many emotions for me. What really gets me is the inner turmoil in John. You think how much more can a man take before he breaks? I get really engaged in a show when I can feel a connection with the characters. The Patriot is definitely that show. This is probably in the top 5 of my favorite series, and that is not to take lightly as I have watched everything and get turned off quickly with a show that does not provide something new. I hope season 3 continues down the dark path. Please don't change a thing!
