Missed the mark in lots of places.Every seemingly, every scene with dialogue had to have an attempt at a wisecrack many of which fell flat. I am totally down with the LGBT community good friends of ours are gay, I have a gay niece etc. I just saw the new Buzz Lightyear movie featuring a world wise, super together Black Lesbian character with an over the top, barely competent ,goofball White Male character in animated form. Now 2 weeks later … a live action version of the same trope. Forced humor, plot populated with tired tropes and some plot points hard to follow. If it hadn’t been for some of the cool fight scenes, Russell Crowe stealing the scene and the Guardians showing up it’s 2 stars instead.
