On the day after IWD I decided to watch The Last Duel. Not because I knew of the themes of the movie but because it was on my watch list and I had finished the final episode of a series I was watching the night before. The reviews for the movie are mixed. Some say it's brilliant, others say the way the movie is structured make it repetitive.
I personally loved it. It's the story of a woman in medieval France who was raped, and against all of the completely male dominated systems refused to back down even when it could have cost her life. The story is told in three chapters one from the woman's husband, one from her rapist, and the final telling, the woman herself.
If you would like to see a truly thought provoking movie I would definitely suggest this one.
