If this was a way to get an old person into a nursing home I think it's clever but sad. Tell an elderly man that he's going in to spy and looks for a certain thing or person and to take notes and report back what he has discovered daily. It would be an easy way to ease someone into a nursing home without them knowing that they are actually going to be a resident there . By the time their covert mission is over they have integrated into the home gotten used to the routine and hopefully like the place and don't mind staying. Not my type of movie but it was interesting. Very slow. This is what I took out of it .

I just have to give Full Metal Jacket this score . From basic training to combat it just has it all. Experience the first day of boot camp the training the hostility the anger and pain till nam then the exposure of combat. It is great. Another great movie is an Australian one which is based on a true battle in Long Tan Vietnam called Danger Close this takes you on a patrol of Australian soldiers deep into a rubber plantation where 100 Aussie soldiers took on over 2000 North Vietnamese regulars and beat them back . Hamburger Hill is another great movie based on facts while platoon is a movie about Vietnam. Also good morning Vietnam is based on a person which is also a great movie. Then there's Apocalypse Now which is a kick back movie of what it could have been and brilliant to.

This movie was a 3 half but everything about Marie Colvin is a 10 out of 10. Before watching this movie you need to understand who she was along with her photographer Paul Conroy. This was a team of Giant proportions. I really don't think it captured who this team was . It was interesting and this is why it so important that you get your own perspective on Colvin and Conroy. Take the time to read about what she was . A truth to the world of horrific places we wouldn't dare go. Marie wrote the stories in away that put you there and Paul Took the the pictures that had you there . This is why I thought it wasn't the best only because I have so much respect for them both. But if you know what it's about you may have a different perspective. It really is worthwhile it's not terrible. It's brilliant. You make your own mind up. WATCH.

When I began to watch this movie I thought here we go just another movie to kill some time. But no I was wrong. This movie is about a lady trying to make amends and to make ends meet all the time hitting obstacles along the way . Cleaning car windows and cleaning houses . She hits problem after problem with her main goal is to give her daughter a nice birthday. Sounds lame doesn't it . This movie sucks you in slowly. It picks up pace with its own style. It's about unprivileged people getting knock back after knock back parole board _ housing_ welfare. This movie really opens your eyes to the injustices people face and the hurdles they go through only to be knocked back . The frustrations and heartbreak for Bunny is so sad. If only it was just a movie. This is what it's like in real life for many people. A real eye opener.

Michael Caine delivers once again in this apocalyptic type of movie . Set around a housing estate in England it focuses on the ex royal marine Harry Brown and his pursuit for justice for his murdered friend. The estate is overrun by the bored teenage thugs that plague the estates of great Britain. Caine turns vigilante to track down the killers of his friend as the police seem to have little interest. That's until Harry starts his rampage. He takes us on a journey through a gang and drug fuelled estate as he seeks answers for his friend. A movie that seems to be filmed in a dark theme suits this not so we'll known Caine movie. This is a brilliant film that could have been just another British movie film about loneliness and youth violence. But Emily Mortimer & Caine bring it to life.
