It's an easy watch, I like putting it on as background noise. But there's so many things I hate (mainly with Emily): 1. The outfits are actually hideous (mainly Emily's). Did they just raid a Zara & Forever 21 and call it good? 2. Emily's Americanization of literally everything is so embarrassing as an American! Like if you're moving to a new country, adapt!! Especially the episode where she has workplace rules...ugh it's so bad. 3. This show portrays Americans as only loving work, being aggressively nice/dumb/himbo/don't care to learn anything about French culture, and I HATE THAT bc that could be further from the truth!!! Actually it can be true when it comes to corporate America (Maddie, Emily's boss is like most managers and CEOs here but I hate that the show makes it seem like we all like that and act like that). It stereotypes both the French and Americans and it's just cringy most of the time 4. Emily's peppy and energetic personality is so annoying and over-the-top. It makes lily Collins seem like a bad actress in my opinion when she does this type of acting. It doesn't feel real, just very scripted and fake. 5. Camille trying to win back Gabriel just felt so wrong and out of character for her. I wish she moved on since she deserves better. Gabriel and Emily can rot together lol. It should've been Emily and Alfie (who also deserves better) then Camille and Gabriel. 6. Watching Emily and Gabriel try not to be jealous of one another's partners and try not to flirt is so hard to watch ! They're so obvious and I don't get it 7. Why is there so much singing... I will add that it made me so happy when sylvie fired Emily and when Alfie basically broke up with her!! Her character is pretty horrible honestly, I'm surprised mindy was still her friend. I would've dropped her so quickly
