Representation matters, and Oscar Peterson hoped that he would get the recognition in his own country that other countries were sometimes quicker to provide. In this film, the focus is on the genius that is Oscar and to share that, archival footage was researched, and great interviews, with those who knew Oscar, or who appreciated his significance to the local, regional, national and international music/jazz music spectrum, were included. In the illustration of his musicality, in his time, we further can appreciate his lasting legacy.
