Ok so I’m no reviewer when I comes to movies like Dune (2021) but I for sure will try. I have seen Dune 2 times now the least I can say is, this movie is absolutely breathtaking with its surreal atmosphere and landscapes. On top of the submersible soundtrack. Timothée Chalamet gave a Stunning performance as Paul. The sets and places Denis Villeneuve uses for his scenes are gorgeous. The first viewing of Dune was in IMAX and the second time (currently while I am typing this) on HBO Max. Both Viewings gave me the same response this movie is AMAZING every scene blew me away. One Note I would like to add in both times of my viewing I seem to forget that this movies run time is Two hours long because to me it never feels like that. I want to talk about some of my favorite scenes, first we have the scene where Paul is put to the test in what I call the Box scene, the emotion on Timothées face as well as Rebecca Ferguson’s is beautiful. Another scene I love is the Hunter Seeker scene that scene alone put chills down my spine it was so good. One scene I love is with the sand worm where it towers over the two of them as they run for their lives I loved that scene a lot because of the scale it put to give the viewer the idea of just how big the sand worms are. The last two scenes I love are the poison gas scene and the ornithcopter sandstorm scene (count how many times I type the word scene) both scenes are amazing some of the best even. Would I recommend Dune: The short answer Yes!
