Great ideas but poor writing and overall execution.
The hopes going onto this were high, but they quickly dropped within the first episode. Firstly the positive, Leon and Claire's interactions really carried the dialogue and developments (aside from the end, which honestly made no sense) and the gorgeous graphics that ended up being more for the aesthetic rather than showcasing any good animation (example, that poor boss battle finale, why bother having such amazing graphics if you're not going to use them to showcase some good animation fight scenes?)
Awful script writing, the same flashbacks replaying for at least 20 minutes and all the characters introduced were barely mediocre at best or awfully fleshed out and garbage at worst. And to announce it as a series when it barely ran longer than an average movie? Come on Capcom.
Leon's dialogue consisted mostly of dramatic one-liners and Claire was completely side-lined once again. And GOD that ending was so weak it was painful, the villain was a hot mess (and not in a good way) that had an even weaker reason for being the big villain in the first place. As far as I'm concerned, watching this once was one times too many.
