Abegail Bricker

I was really excited when I saw a trailer for this show. I read the book a long time again and reread it again before starting the series. Unfortunately though I find it really boring! I don’t think the show is clearly showing the shift in mindset of the Lafferty brothers that lead to murder, and the inclusion of the LDS history seems to bog the story down overall. To be fair, the book is super sprawling in its look at LDS and Fundamentalists and maybe that isn’t helping the series. I’m not a Mormon and am not feeling triggered by the portrayal of the faith. I’m only on episode three though, so we will see what happens.
