Charlotte Hubbell

Writing is average. Certainly nothing special. Despite what the cover says, there’s no humor in this book. Dull as a door nail. The pigeon talks to her siblings and parents. The major is presumed, ad nauseum, to be gay. Battle scenes grisly of course. But certainly worth reading about the messenger pigeons that helped win the war.
