This is a surreal dig at political leaders, their personal agendas, and the way they care more about the novelty of the locations for their meetings than the actual purpose. Look for the symbolism in who is the representative for each country. I truly loved the characterization of the EU representative and the EU president. The zombies were just disgusting, yet I think they might represent what our leaders think of the huddled masses. It bothered me for days, but it also was thought-provoking. Not quite a total waste of time, but make no mistake, this is a bad movie. Ambitious, yes. Creative, maybe. This reminds me of modern art that could be mistaken for a drop cloth if it weren't framed and hanging in the Louvre.

This is proof positive that a group of talented young Danish film school graduates can create all of the tension, suspense and dismay that we admire from the great masters like Hitchcock and Clouzot. The story is simple and the back story seems straightforward but the film is neither. The boring desk job of a 911 operator is to dispassionately gather the facts and dispatch help. Here we see the street cop mentality bring humanity and a sense of responsibility to a call and we are shown how it changes everything. My favorite line was "Do your job!" as Asgar struggles to go above and beyond to save a life.
